The peak celebration of Lunar New Year Nusantara 2026 will be held at Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta this afternoon. Police have prepared six parking areas for the event.

“We have prepared several parking areas, including at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office, the old Pertamina building, the Ministry of Religious Affairs office, the Postal Service office, and the AA Maramis building. VIP and invited VIP guest parking will be provided at the Borobudur Hotel car park,” said Kompol Robby Hefados, Head of Operations at the Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Police, to journalists on Saturday (28 February 2026).

Robby stated that the six parking areas can accommodate 1,000 vehicles. He indicated that the public can enter the event through the western and eastern gates of Lapangan Banteng.

“In total, the available parking areas can accommodate approximately one thousand vehicles, and public entry points have been prepared at the western and eastern gates of Lapangan Banteng,” he said.

  • Traffic from the west (Juanda) heading east (Gunung Sahari) can use Jalan Ir. H Juanda–Jalan Pos–Jalan Dr. Sutomo–Jalan Gunung Sahari or alternatively Jalan Ir. H. Juanda–Jalan Pos–turn right onto Jalan Gedung Kesenian–turn left onto Jalan Budi Utomo–Jalan Gunung Sahari.

  • Traffic from the east (Gunung Sahari) heading west (Juanda) can use Jalan Gunung Sahari–Jalan Dr. Sutomo–turn left onto Jalan Gedung Kesenian–turn right onto Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara–turn right onto Jalan Katedral–turn left onto Jalan Veteran.
