Six of seven temporary housing sites in Agam have been occupied
Lubuk Basung (ANTARA) – The Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas (Perkim) of Agam Regency, West Sumatra, has stated that six of seven temporary housing sites built by the central government have been occupied by disaster survivors who were affected by the disaster at the end of November 2025.
‘These six temporary housing units have been completed and occupied by survivors,’ said Rinaldi, the Head of the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas (Perkim) of Agam, in Lubuk Basung on Thursday.
He said the temporary housing is located on Lahan DOB Bancah Balingka, Ampek Koto District.
According to him, survivors could start occupying the newly completed temporary housing a few days ago because the numbers and owners’ names had been posted at the sites.
The total number of temporary housing that has been completed and occupied sits at 117 units at the Football Field of SDN 05 Kayu Pasak in the Nagari Salareh Aia, Palembayan District, and 88 units at the temporary housing on Lapangan Kayu Pasak Timur, Nagari Salareh Aia, Palembayan District.
After that, 14 units at Lapangan Lambeh, Jorong Bukik Malanca, Nagari Malalak Timur, Malalak District; 35 units at Lahan Kampung Ujuang, Jorong Bancah, Nagari Maninjau, Tanjung Raya District; and 20 units at Objek Wisata Linggai, Nagari Duo Koto, Tanjung Raya District.
‘307 temporary housing units have been occupied from 358 units spread across seven sites,’ he said.
He acknowledged that the temporary housing that has not yet been completed is at Lapangan Bola Jajaran Tantaman, Nagari Tigo Koto Silungkang, Palembayan District, with 51 units.
At present, the temporary housing there is under construction and is expected to be completed soon.
‘TOnly one temporary housing unit remains unfinished, and we hope it will be completed and occupied by survivors in the near future,’ he said.
