Six new Whoosh services during Idul Adha 2026 long weekend

KCIC has added six Whoosh high-speed train journeys during the Idul Adha 2026 long weekend to anticipate rising mobility among the public. The timetable additions will apply on 26 May and 1 June 2026, aiming to provide more departure options, including services into the late evening. Eva Chairunisa, General Manager Corporate Secretary of KCIC, said the increase in service frequency is an anticipatory measure in response to passenger surges during the long holiday period. ‘During holiday periods, demand for Whoosh services generally rises. Therefore, KCIC is increasing the number of journeys so the public has more flexible schedule options,’ Eva said in a statement on Friday (22 May 2026). In addition, KCIC is increasing capacity by 3,606 seats per day, bringing total capacity to 40,868 seats per day. The six additional services consist of three on the Halim–Tegalluar Summarecon route and three on the Tegalluar Summarecon–Halim route. The six added schedules are as follows: Halim – Tegalluar Summarecon; Tegalluar Summarecon – Halim. The public is advised to purchase tickets early through KCIC’s official channels, especially for schedules that tend to fill quickly during holiday periods. Tickets can be purchased via the Whoosh app, the ticket.kcic.co.id website, at ticket offices and ticket machines in stations, and through partner apps such as Access by KAI, Livin’ by Mandiri, BRImo, Wondr by BNI, Tiket.com, Traveloka, and Trip.com.
