Six more netted for robbery

JAKARTA (JP): City police have arrested six more suspected robbers of bank customers.

"They were arrested at their hiding place in Cisolok, West Java, on Thursday evening," spokesman Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna said over the weekend.

Early last week, the police made a new record when they apprehended 23 suspects in robberies of bank customers in a week- long raid after weeks of investigation.

According to Iman, the new six suspects are accused of snatching a bag containing Rp 25 million (US$10,638) in cash from Marijan early this year on Jl. EE in Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

"We're still investigating whether they were also involved in other similar cases," said Iman. (bsr)
