Six killed in taxi crash

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Six people were killed and another eight injured in a crash between a minibus and a taxi in Tapin district Saturday, a report said yesterday.

Killed in the accident were the minibus driver and five of his passengers while the taxi passengers were injured, Antara reported.

Both the taxi and the minibus were badly twisted, suggesting they had been speeding before they collided, the police said.

The accident happened after rain which made the road slippery. (pan)
