A truck trailer was struck by Commuter Line train KA 806A bound for Soekarno-Hatta Airport at the level crossing between Poris and Batu Ceper stations. The incident caused significant disruption to multiple rail routes, with several services cancelled.

KAI Commuter explained that the Duri-Tangerang Commuter Line was temporarily terminating at Rawa Buaya Station, whilst departures from Tangerang Station were suspended. The operator also offered affected passengers full refunds, guaranteeing 100 per cent reimbursement.

"There has been an operational disruption to KA 806A Commuter Line Airport service between Poris and Batu Ceper stations due to a truck collision, which is currently being handled by personnel," KAI Commuter stated on its X account on Friday (20 February 2026).

"For the time being, train services are awaiting confirmation of safe conditions before resuming. We apologise for the delays and thank you for your understanding and patience," it added.

The following are six key facts about the impact of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train and truck collision:

**1. Traffic Gridlock**

The incident at the level crossing near Poris Station, Batuceper District, Tangerang City caused severe traffic congestion. Evacuation of both the train and truck trailer was still underway.

Tangerang City Metro Police Chief Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari said that as of 10.11 a.m. local time, the evacuation process was still ongoing. The airport train was reportedly carrying passengers at the time, but all were safe.

"There were only a few passengers, not too many. They were evacuated and continued their journeys using ride-hailing services and other public transport to reach their destinations, including those heading to Soekarno-Hatta Airport," Jauhari said on Friday (20 February 2026).

The incident halted airport train services and completely paralysed road access around the crossing point. The body of the struck truck trailer remained wedged on the tracks, blocking both rail and road traffic.

Personnel on the ground were focused on towing the truck trailer body to clear the railway line and restore normal operations. A joint team remained at the scene to carry out the physical evacuation. Police confirmed that areas beyond the immediate crossing point were secure and under control thanks to swift traffic management measures.

"The evacuation now just requires towing the vehicle body that was hit, as it remains on the tracks and is obstructing the railway crossing," the local police chief added.

The public was urged to use alternative routes provided to avoid congestion in the Batuceper area until the evacuation was fully completed.

**2. Chronology of the Incident**

Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari explained the accident occurred at approximately 6.05 a.m. local time. It began when the truck trailer was travelling from Cipondoh towards Daan Mogot.

"As the railway crossing was active, the vehicle entered the tracks. The truck cab had already crossed the rails, but the container body was still on the crossing," Jauhari told reporters on Friday (20 February 2026).

Jauhari said the incident caused the truck trailer to be dragged several metres from the initial point of impact at the crossing.

"It was dragged approximately 100 metres from the railway crossing," he added.

**3. No Casualties**

Police confirmed there were no casualties in the collision between the truck trailer and the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train at the level crossing near Poris Station, Batuceper, Tangerang City. The evacuation process was still underway.

"To date there have been zero fatalities, only material losses, and we are still conducting further investigation," said Tangerang City Metro Police Chief Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari to reporters on Friday (20 February 2026).

Jauhari said the truck was positioned across the tracks, blocking the railway line. The evacuation of both the train and the truck trailer involved in the accident was ongoing.

"This involves the electric power lines for the train, as well as the container body which is currently blocking the tracks. So it is being evacuated and removed so the railway can return to normal," he explained.

As a result of the accident, traffic around Poris Station experienced severe congestion. Tangerang City Metro Police had implemented traffic management measures around the scene.

**4. Overhead Power Line Poles Collapsed**

The truck trailer collision with the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train at the Poris Station level crossing in Batuceper, Tangerang City also brought down two overhead line equipment (OLE) poles.

"Two electrical pole points were struck and fell — they collapsed," said Tangerang City Metro Police Chief Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari to reporters on Friday (20 February 2026).

Traffic diversions in place at the time included:

- From Jakarta (Jl. Daan Mogot) towards Cipondoh: diverted at the Ampera junction via Jl. Jenderal Sudirman to Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari.
- From Cipondoh (Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari) towards Daan Mogot: diverted via Jl. Benteng Betawi to Jl. Jenderal Sudirman.
- From Jl. Benteng Betawi towards Jakarta: diverted via Jl. KH Hasyim Ashari — Gondrong traffic lights — Jl. H. Mansyur — Jl. KH Ahmad Dahlan.

**5. Siren Sounded but Barrier Failed to Close**

Police revealed details about the moments before the truck trailer was struck by the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train at the Poris Station level crossing in Batuceper, Tangerang City. Before the collision, the crossing barrier reportedly lowered too late.

"Based on initial accounts — and these are still being investigated further — when we took statements, it emerged that as the train was approaching, the warning siren had been activated by the operator, but the barrier had not yet moved," said Tangerang City Metro Police Chief Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari to reporters on Friday (20 February 2026).

Jauhari said that when the train siren sounded, the container was already positioned on the crossing.
