Six Issuers Ready for IPO, Will They Boost Stock Market Investment?
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Sucor Sekuritas CEO Bernadus Wijaya noted that foreign capital outflow in the regular market has reached Rp 85 trillion year-to-date, reflecting investor concerns about the Indonesian market. Several sentiments have driven foreign funds out of the Indonesian market, including a warning from MSCI earlier this year, a downgrade of Indonesia’s debt outlook by FTSE and Moody’s, uncertainty over government policy, and the impact of the Middle East war which caused the Rupiah to plunge to Rp 18,200 per US dollar. Currently, a number of concerns still haunt investors, but it is hoped that reforms carried out by the stock exchange authority can maintain market confidence. On the other hand, the government is expected to strengthen the exchange rate, encourage programme efficiency as alluded to by the market, and provide certainty for the investment climate. Amid the current market uncertainty, Sucor Sekuritas Chief Executive Officer Bernadus Wijaya mentioned plans for the listing of six prospective issuers on the Indonesian stock exchange through Initial Public Offerings in June 2026. These IPOs are expected to further enliven trading on the Indonesian stock market. Meanwhile, in the bond market, rising bond yields are making it increasingly difficult for issuers to issue bonds.
