PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk will operate four functional toll road sections during the 2026 Lebaran exodus to facilitate vehicle movement whilst reducing congestion at several traffic-prone locations.

The six functional toll sections prepared by Jasa Marga include the Solo–Yogyakarta–NYIA Kulon Progo toll road, the Probolinggo–Situbondo–Banyuwangi toll road, the Jakarta–Cikampek II South (Japek II South) toll road, the Yogyakarta–Bawen toll road, the Serang–Penimbang toll road, and the Ciawi–Sukabumi toll road.

“The operation of these four functional toll sections represents a strategic measure by Jasa Marga in optimising the capacity of the national toll road network during the Lebaran exodus period, whilst reducing traffic pressure on existing sections that have been congestion points, so that traffic flow remains smooth and maintained,” said Rivan in an official statement on Saturday (14 March 2026).

On this section, the functional lane which previously opened only until Prambanan will be extended to Purwomartani with a length of 12.23 kilometres.

Through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo (JMJ), the operation of the Prambanan–Purwomartani segment is expected to help ease vehicle congestion heading towards Yogyakarta and surrounding areas.

Beyond strengthening connectivity between Solo, Yogyakarta, and nearby areas, this section is also projected to reduce travel time from Klaten to Yogyakarta from approximately 45 minutes to 20 minutes.

Jasa Marga will also extend the Probolinggo–Situbondo–Banyuwangi functional toll section, managed by PT Jasamarga Probolinggo Banyuwangi (JPB). Whilst the functional lane previously extended only to Paiton, the section will now be extended to West Situbondo.

This addition to the functional section is approximately 49.68 kilometres in length.

Its presence is considered important for facilitating smooth traffic in East Java whilst supporting acceleration of the National Strategic Project (PSN) connecting the easternmost region of Java Island.

To support traffic distribution in the Jabodetabek region and surrounding areas, Jasa Marga will also operationalise the Jakarta–Cikampek II South toll road on the Sadang–Setu segment spanning 52 kilometres.
