Six dead in road accident

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Six people were killed and eight others
suffered injuries in a collision on Tuesday morning between a bus
and truck in Mas Besitang village, some 95 kilometers south of
here.

The bus, coming from Pangkalan Brandan, capital of Babalan
district, was turning when it collided with an oncoming truck
loaded with fruit in Bukit Mas Besitang village, police said
Wednesday.

The impact threw some of the 14 passengers out of the bus.

The fatalities were identified as bus driver, Anwar Mahmud,
Edy Junaidi, M. Natsir, M Nur, Saryetno, and Novi.
