Situbondo Police Ensure SPPG Meets Standards for Free Nutritious Meal Programme
The Situbondo Resort Police (Polres) in East Java have confirmed that five Police Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) in the area have met the required standards and that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme is running optimally. Situbondo Police Chief AKBP Bayu Anuwar Sidiqie stated that monitoring results also showed all Polri SPPGs in Situbondo have obtained a Hygiene Sanitation Eligibility Certificate (SLHS) and a Wastewater Treatment Plant (Ipal).
Chief Bayu said he will continue to conduct regular monitoring as part of the Situbondo Police’s efforts to support the success of the government-launched MBG Programme. The routine monitoring and supervision of the Polri SPPGs is carried out to ensure all units provide the best service, maintain food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and good governance, so that the benefits of this programme are truly felt by the recipients.
Bayu stressed that supervision is conducted to ensure the entire process of providing nutritious food fully meets food safety standards, so that the meals received by students are safe, healthy, and of high quality. “The Free Nutritious Meal Programme is a programme concerning the health of the nation’s future generations. Therefore, the entire process, from processing and distribution to kitchen cleanliness, must meet the established standards,” he said.
AKBP Bayu also requested that SPPG Polri managers continue to make improvements in every aspect of service and emphasised the importance of maintaining hygiene standards and strengthening the implementation of SOPs in the work environment, completing supporting administration, and ensuring the entire food processing procedure is carried out safely, cleanly, transparently, and in accordance with regulations. “We have also instructed all SPPG kitchens to complete and install Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the work area, so they are easily read and understood by all officers in carrying out their daily duties,” he said.
