Situbondo (ANTARA) - The Situbondo District Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in East Java has reminded prospective Hajj pilgrims to maintain discipline and comply with regulations regarding carry-on items on aircraft for flight safety.

Head of the Situbondo District Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Rif’an Junaidi, in Situbondo on Monday, requested that all prospective Hajj pilgrims prepare their baggage for the flight to the Holy Land.

“All suitcases have been received by us and distributed to the prospective Hajj pilgrims since two days ago. Therefore, we urge the prospective Hajj pilgrims to comply with the aircraft baggage rules for the smoothness and safety of the flight,” he said.

Rif’an stated that all suitcases for the prospective Hajj pilgrims have been received and distributed to them, and they are asked to return them on H-1 before departure.

“For the suitcase return regulations for prospective Hajj pilgrims, in accordance with the Indonesian Hajj Organising Committee’s Surabaya Embarkation provisions, on H-1 before being sent to the Surabaya Hajj Dormitory,” said Rif’an.

He added that 993 prospective Hajj pilgrims for 2026 are ready to be dispatched to the Holy Land on 14 May 2026, but this number could increase later as it is dynamic.

According to him, this year’s Situbondo prospective Hajj pilgrims are divided into four flying groups (kloter), namely kloter 87, 88, 89, and kloter 90, and these four kloters will depart simultaneously on 14 May.
