Situbondo Floods: Two Missing and Thousands of Homes Affected

ANTARA - The Situbondo Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in East Java said two people are missing after being swept away by the current, and thousands of residents’ homes across nine districts have been affected by flash floods and strong winds on Saturday night, 7 March. Flooding from river overflows occurred in six districts, including Banyuglugur, where two villages were affected: Kalianget and Banyuglugur. In Besuki district there are five villages: Kalianget, Besuki, Kalimas, Bloro and Pesisir. The local government raised the emergency response status for post-disaster flood management on Sunday, 8 March.
