Situbondo DPRD Special Committee Reveals IDR 1.6 Billion in Physical Project Findings

The Special Committee for the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Examination Results of the Situbondo Regency DPRD, East Java, has stated that there are findings of state losses amounting to approximately IDR 1.6 billion in the implementation of physical projects for the 2025 fiscal year.

In accordance with Article 20 of Law Number 15 of 2004 concerning the Examination of State Financial Management and Accountability, the local government has 60 days to follow up on the BPK’s recommendations.

‘There are several special notes from the BPK’s findings, one of which is that problematic physical activities for the 2025 fiscal year have reached a value of around IDR 1.6 billion, and there has been no progress on the refund yet,’ said Siti Maria Ulfa, Chair of the Special Committee, after a meeting at the Situbondo DPRD Building on Thursday.

She added that before the 60-day deadline, the BPK will conduct a review, likely in early July 2026, to assess the progress on the findings. ‘Even if it is not one hundred per cent, at least there must be some progress that can be shown,’ she said.

Information obtained by ANTARA indicates that the findings from the Audit Report on the Situbondo Regency Government’s 2025 Financial Statements vary in value, including IDR 1 billion, IDR 4 billion, and IDR 2 billion, with the majority involving physical road projects such as lean concrete base layers.

The Acting Regional Secretary of the Situbondo Regency Government has yet to provide confirmation regarding the findings in the BPK examination report.
