Situational Traffic Engineering for Takbiran Night in Jakarta

Polda Metro Jaya has assured readiness for securing the Takbiran night welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 AD in the DKI Jakarta area. A traffic engineering scheme has been prepared, adjusted to field conditions or of a situational nature.

The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, explained that the security focus will centre on the heart of the city, particularly areas that often serve as gathering points for the public.

“Polda Metro Jaya has prepared situational traffic engineering in the Monas area, Bundaran HI, as well as the Sudirman-Thamrin corridor and other supporting points,” said Budi in his statement in Jakarta on Friday (20/3).

To maintain smooth vehicle flow, 903 personnel for kamseltibcarlantas (security, safety, order, and traffic smoothness) have been placed on standby specifically to regulate roads, ease congestion, and execute traffic engineering measures if necessary.

Overall, Polda Metro Jaya is deploying a total of 1,810 combined personnel to ensure the serenity of that victorious night.

“This security is part of efforts to ensure that the Takbiran night runs safely, orderly, and conducive,” he stated.

Budi detailed that this security force consists of 1,759 personnel from Polda Metro Jaya and 51 personnel from sectoral Polres. Thousands of officers will be distributed to several strategic sectors as follows:

“Personnel are divided into Sector A Monas with 100 personnel, Sector B Monas with 274 personnel, Sector C Bundaran HI with 533 personnel, as well as kamseltibcarlantas security with 903 personnel,” he concluded.
