Situation in KS Tubun Area, Central Jakarta Tonight: Crowds Still Gathered

Groups of protesters who had earlier been around the DPR building scattered after police conducted patrols. One of the current points of congestion is in the KS Tubun area, Central Jakarta.

As is known, the Aliansi Masyarakat Pati Bersatu (AMPB) crowd left the DPR building at around 14.00 WIB. Afterwards, other groups of protesters arrived in front of the DPR building. Several groups had not dispersed after 18.00 WIB until they were eventually broken up by police.

Monitoring by detikcom on Thursday (27/8/2026) at 21.15 WIB showed that crowds were still present around the KS Tubun area. Those at the location were protesters who had previously been around the Slipi flyover.

They had also previously been seen under the Pejompongan underpass. They had thrown firecrackers at officers before eventually being dispersed.

The crowds from the Slipi flyover and Pejompongan underpass then scattered towards KS Tubun. The crowd, without any group attributes, still filled the area until tonight.

Police also used tear gas to disperse the crowd. The lingering tear gas caused the crowd to move again from KS Tubun towards the Slipi intersection.

Apart from the KS Tubun area, crowds were also still seen filling the Slipi intersection area. Several motorists stopped at the roadside, causing traffic flow to become congested.

Police officers are currently still on guard around the location. Police on motorcycles are conducting patrols in the Pejompongan to Petamburan area.
