Situation Around Slipi, Jakarta Tonight: Police Post Set on Fire

A crowd was still gathered in Slipi, West Jakarta, and surrounding areas on Thursday night. A police post near the location was set on fire.

As is known, the crowd from the Pati United Community Alliance (AMPB) had left the DPR building at around 14.00 WIB. Afterwards, other groups of people arrived in front of the DPR building. Several groups had not dispersed after 18.00 WIB until they were eventually dispersed by the police.

According to detikcom monitoring on Thursday (27/8/2026) at 21.31 WIB, a crowd gathered under the Pejompongan flyover in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The crowd appeared to be burning something, although it was not clear what was being burned.

The crowd then fired firecrackers. Each time a firecracker exploded, the crowd clapped and cheered.

Meanwhile, in the Jalan KS Tubun area, police deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd. People ran in disarray.

Even so, the crowd was still seen filling Jalan KS Tubun. Several motorists stopped at the side of the road, causing traffic flow to become congested.

Then in Petamburan, West Jakarta, precisely under the Petamburan flyover, a police post was seen on fire. Flames were still burning inside the post.

The glass of the police post was shattered. A crowd was seen gathering around the burning police post.

Police officers were also still on guard around the location. Police on motorcycles carried out patrols in the Pejompongan to Petamburan area.
