Sitinjau Lauik Flyover Project Enters Bridge Construction Phase
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The construction of the Panorama I Sitinjau Lauik Flyover in West Sumatra continues to show significant progress, with the bridge structure now beginning to take shape after the installation of girders on the main section.
PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjau Lauik (HPSL), as the Implementing Business Entity (BUP), stated that the construction work has entered a crucial phase following the completion of the substructure such as abutments and pillars.
Currently, the shape of Bridge 1 is starting to become visible along with the installation of the main supporting beams.
On Thursday (9/4), the girder installation was carried out on Bridge 1, which is an important part in forming the superstructure.
Up to week 56 as of 17 April 2026, the project’s physical progress has reached 16.4 percent.
The next works include the installation of steel reinforcements, formwork, and concreting on the girder connecting sections as preparation for the bridge deck concreting.
All construction stages are carried out with strict supervision to ensure building quality and occupational safety in accordance with applicable standards.
On the other hand, land acquisition is also showing developments. To date, out of a total target of 31 land plots, 12 plots have gone through the consignment offer stage.
Four of them have been completed up to the consignment determination process and the issuance of Legal Relationship Termination (PHH).
Currently, there are about 5 community land plots remaining with an area of around 0.07 hectares.
Two plots have been registered for consignment at the Padang District Court and are awaiting the offer schedule.
Meanwhile, the other three plots are still in the follow-up process by the National Land Agency (BPN) of West Sumatra Province.
HPSL emphasised that the entire land acquisition process is carried out by the government through BPN, prioritising principles of prudence, transparency, and respect for community rights and local customary values.
“We respect all opinions and input from the community and other stakeholders. HPSL is committed to carrying out its role professionally and fully supporting the processes carried out by the government,” it said on Friday (23/4/2026).
The construction of the Sitinjau Lauik I Flyover is expected to be a solution to the existing road conditions which have extreme curves with a high risk of accidents.
This project is also aimed at strengthening connectivity between the city of Padang and Solok as well as surrounding areas.
With this improved connectivity, the project is expected to facilitate logistics distribution, increase travel time efficiency, and drive regional economic growth.
