Siti Fauziah's Message to Winners of North Sulawesi Four Pillars Quiz
SMAN 2 Bitung has won first place in the Four Pillars of the MPR RI Quiz Competition at the North Sulawesi provincial level for 2026, earning the right to represent the province at the national grand final in Jakarta this August.
Plt Secretary General of the MPR RI, Siti Fauziah, congratulated the achievement while reminding the students that the real challenge lies ahead when provincial champions from across Indonesia meet in the national competition. “Congratulations to SMAN 2 Bitung for winning first place and representing North Sulawesi at the national level. Prepare yourselves more thoroughly, study harder, and improve your performance to compete with champions from 37 other provinces,” she said on Sunday.
She made the remarks after presenting the trophy, medals, and certificates, and officially closing the North Sulawesi provincial-level competition in Manado on Saturday. In the final round, SMAN 2 Bitung performed consistently, scoring 130 points to defeat SMA Kristen Eben Haezar Manado with 100 points and SMAS Katolik Theodorus Kota Kotamobagu with 90 points.
According to Siti Fauziah, the finalists demonstrated good mastery of the material. However, their stage presence, speed in decision-making, and confidence in answering questions still need sharpening to compete at the national level. “The national competition will be much tougher. Therefore, besides deepening their understanding of the Four Pillars, participants must also boost their confidence, concentration, and team cohesion,” she said.
On the same occasion, Siti Fauziah also presented the Best Yell Appreciation Award to schools that displayed creativity, unity, and national spirit during the preliminary rounds. “All participants are champions because they have shown a spirit of learning, sportsmanship, and love for the nation. Do not be discouraged if you did not succeed. Keep learning, and we hope to see you again at next year’s competition,” she said.
She also expressed gratitude to the North Sulawesi Provincial Government, the Regional Education Office, school principals, supervising teachers, the jury, and all committee members who supported the successful organisation of the event.
Meanwhile, SMAN 2 Bitung’s supervising teacher, Nocry Rindengan, said the school would immediately conduct a comprehensive evaluation in preparation for the national grand final. “We do not want to become complacent too quickly. There are still many things to improve so we can deliver the best results when representing North Sulawesi at the national level,” he said.
One of the SMAN 2 Bitung team members, Marshya Flyorenska Melope, expressed pride in bringing the school to victory. She attributed the success to disciplined training, teamwork, and the full support of the supervising teachers. “We are grateful for this result. Thank you to the MPR RI for providing a platform for students to learn and earn recognition while developing national insight. We will prepare ourselves even better for the national level,” she said.
The North Sulawesi provincial-level competition was attended by nine top senior high schools selected through provincial selection.
