President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the operation of the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading - Manggarai route on Wednesday (16/09/2026). The inauguration ceremony took place at Manggarai LRT Station.
“Bismillahirahmanirahim, this afternoon, Wednesday, 16 September 2026, by the grace of God Almighty, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby inaugurate the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai line,” said Prabowo, followed by the wailing of sirens.
Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung. During the event, Prabowo described Pramono as a great governor who serves as an example for other regional leaders.
“Congratulations and thank you, Governor. I must admit that there is a great governor, truly great, even though he is not from my party. But this should encourage other parties to work properly. Congratulations, Mr Pramono, congratulations, Doel. I am very happy today. It is pleasant to ride the LRT,” he added.
The Kelapa Gading - Manggarai route spans 12.2 km with an investment value reaching Rp12.1 trillion. The introduction of this train reduces the travel time from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai to just 28 minutes.
