Single-Door Export Policy via PT DSI Viewed as a New Form of Corporate Nationalisation

The Chairman of Kadin Central Kalimantan and External Vice President of MADN, Rahmat Nasim Hamka, has welcomed President Prabowo Subianto’s policy to implement a single-door governance system for natural resource exports through PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI).

He believes this step is a strategic breakthrough aligned with the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, which ensures that Indonesia’s natural wealth is utilised for the greatest prosperity of the people. “We strongly support the idea of single-door natural resource exports. This is a strategic step to truly implement the Pancasila Economy as mandated by Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution,” Rahmat stated in a written release on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.

He explained that the management of natural resources has frequently faced issues such as foreign exchange leakage, export manipulation practices, and economic benefits that have not fully returned to the people. Therefore, the presence of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia as an entity managing strategic commodity exports is seen as a vital instrument to strengthen national economic sovereignty.

Interestingly, Rahmat described the policy as a new form of corporate nationalisation. According to Rahmat, the government is not seizing private companies as was the practice in past nationalisation efforts. Instead, the state continues to provide space for the private sector to manage natural resources, but the export mechanism is conducted through a single door under state control.

“In the past, foreign companies were nationalised and taken over by the state; now, the private sector is still given space to manage natural resources, but the exports are conducted through a single door by the state. This is a very strategic and progressive idea,” he said. “In our view, this represents a new form of corporate nationalisation through the existence of a single entity managing our natural resource exports.”

He assessed that this scheme could assist the government in addressing various irregularities that have occurred in export commodity trade, including the leakage of state revenue and the flight of export-derived foreign exchange. “Through this system, various deviations and leakages can be minimised. Most importantly, our export foreign exchange can be secured for national interests,” he concluded.
