Singer Reza reportedly hiding out in Sukabumi

The Jakarta Post, Jakarta

The lawyer of singer Reza Artamevia recalled on Friday an early report of the disappearance of the diva upon arrival at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Sunday, saying that her client was in seclusion in Sukabumi, West Java.

Damayanti Singgih and Reza's manager Diyah Damayanti said that the mother of two was suffering from depression.

Diyah said she got a message on her cell phone, which was sent by Reza's spiritual teacher Gatot Brajamusti on Thursday evening, asking her to come to his spiritual school in Sukabumi.

Diyah along with another management staff, Indra, arrived at the school early on Friday morning where she met Reza.

"She could not immediately recognize us," Diyah added. "She looked physically healthy but her eyes looked drawn and she did not say much."

The latest development in the case is more of an anticlimax to Reza's real-life soap opera.

During the past few months, Reza and her husband model-cum- legislator Adjie Massaid were ready to end their five-year marriage.

Earlier this week Adjie reported to the Jakarta Police that Reza had committed adultery. He accused her of having an affair with "a former government official".

Infotainment shows recently have been digging up Reza's relation with I Gede Putu Ary Suta, a former Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA).

Following this report, Adjie denied Reza access to their children, Zahwa, 3, and Aaliyah, 2.

On Monday, Damayanti reported Reza had disappeared at the airport on Sunday.

It was not until Thursday, a security guard at the airport, Sudirman, disclosed that he helped Reza to a taxi to escape waiting infotainment reporters.

Reza was reportedly found on Friday.

Adjie reported to the police that Reza allegedly had two current identity cards, one stating she resided in East Jakarta and another in South Jakarta.

Another report accused her of trying to tarnish his image through recent news reports regarding her disappearance.
