SINGAPORE (AFP): Singapore's swimming sensation Joscelin Yeo
suffered an elbow injury which could jeopardize her hopes of
winning nine gold medals in the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA)
Games.
Yeo, 20, bruised a nerve in her elbow during a weights
training session in the United States, where she is currently
studying and training, the Straits Times daily reported on
Monday.
The injury comes as a blow to Yeo, who has been in superb form
after smashing six national records in the last two months.
Despite the injury, she will still swim in the SEA Games in
Brunei beginning on Saturday.
