Singapore's Tiong Bahru Bakery Makes Indonesian Debut in Jakarta
Tiong Bahru Bakery, the iconic artisan bakery from Singapore known for its laminated croissants and artisan sourdough, has officially opened its first outlet in Indonesia.
Located in the Main Lobby of Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading 3, Jakarta, the outlet will begin operating on 5 August 2026. The opening marks the first step of Tiong Bahru Bakery’s expansion into Indonesia, bringing the signature Singaporean bakery experience that combines quality food, community, and space for interaction.
Founded in 2012, Tiong Bahru Bakery grew from a simple bakery in the Tiong Bahru district of Singapore into a network of artisan bakeries with numerous outlets across the country.
Throughout its growth, Tiong Bahru Bakery has maintained its commitment to the craft of bread-making, its love of local culture, and its dedication to delivering quality baked goods, enjoyable coffee, and spaces that strengthen community bonds.
Embracing the spirit of “Keep Bringing the Bahru”, Tiong Bahru Bakery arrives with a commitment to bringing new things without losing the warmth that has become its identity. This spirit is embodied through three main pillars.
The first pillar, Warga Bahru, invites Jakartans to become part of a community with space to gather, share stories, and enjoy simple moments together.

Meanwhile, the third pillar, Rasa Bahru, presents a blend of high-standard French bread-making techniques with the distinctive flavours of Tiong Bahru Bakery, through crispy laminated croissants, artisan sourdough, and a variety of items freshly baked every day.
Like its outlets in Singapore, Tiong Bahru Bakery in Jakarta is also designed to reflect the character of its surrounding environment.
