Singapore's PM visits South Korea

SEOUL (AP): Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong arrived in
South Korea on Monday for an official four-day visit meant to
boost trade and investment between the two countries.

Goh was to hold talks with President Kim Dae-jung, have a
luncheon meeting with the heads of South Korea's four major
business organizations and visit industrial facilities on
Tuesday, government officials said.

Along with trade and investment, other topics will include the
Asian economic crisis. Goh and South Korean leaders will share
their experiences in overcoming their economic difficulties,
officials said.

On Wednesday, the Singapore leader was to visit the truce
village of Panmunjom inside the demilitarized zone separating
communist North Korea and capitalist South Korea.
