Singapore's Lee to visit Indonesia
SINGAPORE (Reuter): Singapore elder statesman Lee Kuan Yew
will start a four-day visit to Indonesia today, the Singapore
government said in a statement yesterday.
It said Lee, prime minister from 1959 to 1990, would be in
Jakarta to attend a meeting of the JP Morgan International
Council,, of which he is a member.
Lee, now Senior Minister in the cabinet, would also pay a
courtesy call on President Soeharto, the statement said.
