Typically, a loyalty card from a shopping centre is synonymous with discounts or shopping points. But now, its benefits transcend national borders, particularly Singapore.

This is because the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Pakuwon Group have formalised an extended collaboration for another two years.

The collaboration, which has been in operation for two years, is now expanded with more tangible benefits for PG Card holders. Not only destination promotions, but direct access to a range of offers in Singapore.

Naturally, this time there is an increase in what can be done together and the aim is to raise awareness for both Singapore and Indonesia, especially Pakuwon Group, to journalists including Kompas.com.

Hence, the latest scheme allows PG Card holders to obtain various benefits while in Singapore. No additional registration is required; simply present the membership card.

There are many things to enjoy, for instance numerous attractions to visit by showing the member card. Possibly at Marina Bay Sands or anywhere, including the Singapore Zoo, Aquarius,

PG Card holders visiting CapitaLand’s properties in Singapore will also receive loyalty programmes and will automatically receive discounts at stores in Singapore plazas.

According to Sutandi, the concept provides added value with little procedural hassle, since loyalty cardholders receive benefits in Singapore without extra effort.

As of now, more than 100,000 Pakuwon members in Surabaya, Yogyakarta and Solo are already connected to this collaboration system.

Jakarta will follow soon as we are currently internally integrating the system, so that once integrated, it can be fully extended to Jakarta,

Although usage data in Singapore is still being evaluated, member responses have been positive. Many have requested a renewal of the collaboration as the benefits are being felt directly.

Because we have received substantial feedback, we are extending the collaboration. They feel the benefits because without membership, for example, a visit to the Singapore Zoo would not receive a discount, but with membership they can.

Now the partnership is not only encouraging Indonesian tourists to visit Singapore but also opening opportunities for tourist flows from Singapore to Indonesia.

Not only are we going to Singapore, but there are also many visitors coming from there to Indonesia. This can be leveraged to foster good relations.

Terrence Voon, Executive Director for Southeast Asia at the Singapore Tourism Board, says the partnership is a key step to reach a wider audience in Indonesia while strengthening Singapore’s destination appeal in the eyes of travellers.

“Indonesia remains one of Singapore’s main markets. We are excited to showcase Destination Singapore to a wider audience and to enhance the value proposition for PG Card members in Indonesia,” concluded Terrence Voon.
