Singapore offers scholarships

JAKARTA: The Singapore government is offering scholarships to
Indonesian nationals wanting to pursue undergraduate degrees in
Singapore.

The scholarships are offered for one full year for students of
all disciplines, except medicine and dentistry, at the Nanyang
Technological University (NTU), the National University of
Singapore and the Singapore Management University.

Candidates must be a citizen of Indonesia, with excellent
academic records and a good command of English.

The deadline for submitting applications is Jan. 1, 2003 for
the 2003/2004 academic year.

In the 2002/2003 academic year, the Singapore government
awarded scholarships to five Indonesians. --JP
