Singapore businessmen exploring investment prospects in Yogyakarta
Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - A group of 30 Singaporean businessmen led by President of The Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI), Chuan Thian Poh, visited Yogyakarta on Thursday to explore business opportunities in the region.
During their visit to Yogyakarta, they were accompanied by Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Wardanao and were received by Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.
Chua Thian Poh explained to the governor that they were interested in investment in a number of Yogyakarta`s business sectors such as timber processing, construction, property, finance and banking, shipping and legal services.
In the meantime, the governor after receiving the Singapore delegation said that the Singapore businessmen visited Yogyakarta to explore investment cooperation.
Yoyakarta would provide them with facilities as part of its commitment to the Singapore businessmen, the sultan said.(*)
