Singapore Airlines Group Passenger Numbers Rise 7.7 Percent in Fiscal Year 2025-2026
Singapore (ANTARA) - The number of passengers carried by the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group rose 7.7 percent in the fiscal year 2025-2026. The group’s passenger load factor (PLF) reached 90.6 percent, with Singapore Airlines and its low-cost carrier Scoot recording monthly PLFs of 90.3 percent and 91.7 percent, respectively. The company stated in an official document submitted to the stock exchange that its passenger traffic increased 14.7 percent year-on-year in March, surpassing the 7.2 percent rise in passenger capacity. Combined passenger carriage rose 14.9 percent year-on-year to 3.8 million passengers, marking a new monthly record for the group. “The strong passenger traffic growth was supported by increased air travel demand ahead of the Easter holidays in early April, as well as spillover passengers destined for Europe due to capacity impacts at Middle East hubs from the ongoing conflicts in the region,” said SIA.
