JAKARTA – Syeren Peimeng, a student in the Digital Business programme at Cyber University (Universitas Siber Indonesia) from the 2024 intake, has demonstrated early workforce readiness. He is actively developing a startup while venturing into the professional world of the creative industry, all while still a student.

Syeren is currently involved as a developer in a creative startup named Sleective. On campus, he also serves as Chairman of the Entrepreneurship Student Activity Unit, which focuses on leadership and designing innovative programmes for students.

His industry experience is notably strong through a six-month internship at PT Republik Desain Indonesia (Look Media). There, Syeren worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, handling various creative agency projects as well as customer service.

“Direct practical experience is key for students to understand the real needs of the digital industry, not just from a theoretical perspective,” said Syeren while recounting his academic and professional journey in Jakarta on Monday (20/4/2026).

In addition to practical work, Syeren has contributed to a collaborative book on Human-Computer Interaction. He specifically addressed the topic of user interface design to strengthen the integration between visual creativity and technology.

In response to these achievements, Vivi Afifah, Head of the Digital Business programme at Cyber University, expressed high appreciation. According to her, Syeren’s success is the result of implementing a curriculum that is adaptive to industry dynamics.

“We in the Digital Business programme are committed to encouraging students to learn based on practice and real industry experience,” stated Vivi. She emphasised that this learning model is designed so that graduates are not only job-ready but also capable of creating innovation opportunities.

As The First Fintech University in Indonesia, Cyber University prioritises a combination of technical and business competencies. Students are equipped with skills ranging from digital marketing to UI/UX design, strengthened by problem-solving abilities.

“Additionally, at Cyber University, there is also the CLP (Company Learning Programme) 3+1. Students study for only 3 years and spend 1 year interning at industry partners of the campus,” explained Vivi.

Syeren’s story is proof that the right education can produce talents ready to compete in the digital ecosystem. “Initiatives like this are expected to continue developing to produce young innovators who can contribute to the national creative industry,” she concluded.
