Sinarmas LDA Maritime Strategy Boosts Vessel Operational Excellence and Crew Performance
Integrated logistics service provider Sinarmas LDA Maritime (SLM) has reaffirmed its commitment to driving excellence across all operational areas.
CEO Matthieu Lavoine stated that this commitment is being implemented through the ‘The Best Vessel’ assessment programme for vessels with top-performing crews, conducted in Q1 2026.
‘“The Best Vessel” initiative reflects SLM Group’s commitment to operational excellence, with awards presented quarterly,’ Lavoine said in a statement on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.
‘Beyond an award, the programme embodies shared values of integrity, collaboration, innovation, and resilience,’ Lavoine added.
‘This initiative encourages each vessel and crew to continuously grow, adapt, and deliver peak performance as a unified team,’ he said.
Lavoine added that for SLM, being the best is not just about results but also the journey of continuous growth. Therefore, the SLM Josephine was awarded the Q1 2026 ‘Best Vessel’ in the self-propelled barge category.
He stressed that this achievement reflects dedication, strong team collaboration, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards across all operations.
The SLM Josephine now serves as an inspiration and quality benchmark for the entire SLM Group fleet to continue delivering top performance. Additionally, awards were given to SLM Apollo 2 and SLM Artemis 2 as Q1 2026 ‘Best Vessels’ in the liquid tug category.
‘Superior performance, operational resilience, and solid team collaboration are key to this achievement. We are ready to keep sailing and delivering our best on every voyage,’ he said.
For information, Mitra Kencana 4 also received the Q1 ‘Best Vessel’ award in the SSKI liquid tug category. Consistent performance, professional reliability, and strong team synergy were key to this achievement.
Finally, SLM Apollo 5 was awarded Q1 2026 ‘Best Vessel’ in the tug boat category, reflecting consistent performance, operational reliability, and strong team collaboration.
