Sinar Mas Land and Komdigi Strengthen Teacher Digital Literacy Through PP TUNAS Implementation Training

Sinar Mas Land, together with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) and the South Tangerang City Government, successfully held a Training on the Implementation of PP TUNAS for Teachers and Educators across South Tangerang City at the Green Office Park 9 Auditorium, BSD City, on 9 July 2026. The event was attended by Deden Deni, Head of the South Tangerang City Education and Culture Office; Rizki Ameliah, Head of the Digital Literacy Development Centre at BPSDM Komdigi; Yuli Setiyowati, Regional Coordinator of Mafindo Jakarta; Panji Himawan, Senior VP Corporate Affairs at Sinar Mas Land; and Aditya Galih Priyambodo, VP CSR at Sinar Mas Land, along with 200 educators from primary to senior high school levels in South Tangerang.

The training supports the implementation of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic System Operations in Child Protection, known as PP TUNAS, an acronym for ‘Tunggu Anak Siap’ (Wait Until the Child is Ready). The regulation emphasises that children’s digital access and experiences must be tailored to their age, maturity level, and readiness, aiming to foster a safer, healthier, and child-friendly digital ecosystem.

Dony Martdisata, Managing Director of the President Office at Sinar Mas Land, stated that digital transformation must go hand in hand with improving public digital literacy, particularly for educators who play a strategic role in shaping the character of the younger generation. He expressed hope that through this collaboration, teachers and education personnel would be better equipped to create a safe, healthy, and adaptive learning environment amid technological developments. Rizki Ameliah added that the training seeks to strengthen educators’ capacity to understand digital challenges and become agents of change, educating students, parents, and the community about the importance of child protection in the digital era. She noted that the regulation mandates obligations for electronic system providers, including age-based account management, child data protection, reporting mechanisms, and content supervision.
