Sinar Mas' CPO plants
JAKARTA (JP): The Sinar Mas Group will build two more crude palm oil refineries in South Kalimantan to accommodate the expansion of its oil palm plantations in the province.
Sinar Mas' director, Tan Siaw Liang, said yesterday his group would open 6,500 hectares of new oil palm plantations in Kotabaru district where it will build two more refineries.
Currently, the group has two refineries in Sungai Kupang district, South Kalimantan, with a combined capacity of 90 tons of crude palm oil an hour. The two plants are supported by 22,000 hectares of oil palm plantations. (rid)
