Sinar Jaya Bus Fares Rise Ahead of Lebaran Mudik Peak 2026

Jakarta – Bus operator Sinar Jaya’s ticket prices began rising ahead of Lebaran 2026, with fare adjustments implemented gradually from mid-March. Acting Assistant Head of Marketing at Sinar Jaya, Eko Yulianto, said that the fare increases, or surcharges, were applied in response to rising demand for mudik travel. The increases were phased in from 13 March, peaking on 16–19 March, and the price rises vary by route and service type. Similar increases were also observed on the Jakarta–Yogyakarta route: Executive class tickets, previously Rp 180,000–Rp 200,000, rose to Rp 330,000–Rp 340,000, while Executive Leg Rest from Rp 220,000–Rp 235,000 rose to around Rp 370,000. This fare surge generally occurs each Lebaran travel season as demand for intercity travel grows. Bus operators typically apply price adjustments gradually until the peak of the mudik period. Sinar Jaya Jakarta–Yogyakarta: Executive Rp 180,000–Rp 200,000 to Rp 330,000–Rp 340,000; Executive Leg Rest Rp 220,000–Rp 235,000 to Rp 370,000. Sinar Jaya Jakarta–Malang: Super Executive Double Decker Rp 450,000 to Rp 630,000; Suites Class Rp 520,000 to Rp 720,000.
