SilkAir flight drifts on landing

SINGAPORE (AP): A SilkAir flight from Phuket, Thailand,
drifted toward the edge of the runway when it landed at
Singapore's Changi Airport yesterday, television reported.

No injuries were reported. The plane was towed to the terminal
building and those on board disembarked through a jetbridge, the
TV report quoted SilkAir as saying.

There were 88 passengers and seven crew members on board
Flight MI 751.

A duty officer at Changi Airport confirmed the incident to the
Associated Press, but could provide no details.

A Boeing 737 of SilkAir, a tourist operation of the flag
carrier Singapore Airlines, mysteriously plunged into an
Indonesian jungle river last December, killing all 104 people
aboard.
