Siliwangi University Community Service Team Launches 'Sister's Digital Lab' Training

A community service team from Siliwangi University has held an educational content creation training session for 47 cadres of the Salimah Regional Board (PD) in Tasikmalaya City at RM Saung Sambel Hejo. Through the ‘Sister’s Digital Lab’ programme, the cadres were trained in content creation skills as an effort to strengthen family literacy campaigns based on digital media. Team leader Sri Maryani stated that the programme aims to improve the digital skills of Salimah cadres so they can create engaging educational content as a medium for family literacy campaigns in the digital era. “We see that Salimah cadres have an important role in educating the public, especially regarding family literacy. Therefore, through the Sister’s Digital Lab programme, we want Salimah cadres to be able to package family literacy messages in the form of engaging educational content in line with the development of the digital era,” she said. Meanwhile, PD Salimah Tasikmalaya City Chairperson Elis Komala appreciated the programme for providing real benefits to the cadres through improved digital skills. The cadres received training through three main materials: the urgency of educational media propagation and media ethics, public speaking for content creators and its implementation, and family literacy, podcast management, and its tools. After receiving the materials, the cadres directly practised the process of creating educational content in the form of video podcasts and visual designs with the theme of family literacy, with intensive assistance from the community service team. The educational content was then uploaded to PD Salimah Tasikmalaya City’s social media as a dissemination medium accessible to the public. The programme was fully funded by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM), Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology for the 2026 fiscal year.
