Siliwangi Railway Line Connecting Cianjur-Sukabumi Reopens After Landslide Damage
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG BARAT – The railway line connecting Cipatat Station in Bandung Barat Regency (KBB) with Cianjur Regency, West Java, which was previously affected by a landslide, can finally be used again on Monday (20/4/2026). The Public Relations Manager of KAI Daop 2 Bandung, Kuswardoyo, stated that KAI has carried out repairs to the track at the landslide-affected point. “At 12:30 WIB, the location is already safe to pass, but the speed is still limited,” said Kuswardoyo when confirmed. Kuswardoyo explained that personnel have been handling the landslide site since the incident occurred. The handling was done by reinforcing the location with the installation of sandbags, stakes, and compaction. Every day, the line is used by six train services on the Cianjur-Sukabumi route. “Reinforcement of the location with the installation of sandbags, stakes, and compaction.
