Siliwangi Military Commander Enlists Motorcycle Community Reborn Indonesia to Help Develop West Java
A motorcycle community is not only synonymous with touring and riding as a hobby. One such community, Reborn Indonesia, is being encouraged to become a social force that helps build West Java.
That spirit emerged during an informal meeting between the Commander of Kodam III/Siliwangi, Major General TNI Kosasih, and the leadership of Reborn Indonesia led by Chief Acep. The cordial atmosphere produced a joint commitment to strengthen synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the motorcycle community in helping resolve various public issues.
During the meeting, Major General TNI Kosasih, who is known by the nickname ‘Santri General’, invited Reborn Indonesia to serve as eyes and ears on the ground.
He asked every member of the community not to hesitate to pass on information if they came across a damaged bridge, residents experiencing difficulties accessing clean water, or other social problems requiring prompt attention.
The Commander stressed that every report received would be followed up according to the capacity and authority of Kodam III/Siliwangi. He even declared his commitment to assist in the construction and repair of houses of worship.
“Giving much in charity will open the door to sustenance and become a path to safety from various misfortunes,” he said.
REBORN INDONESIA JAMBOREE
In response to the invitation, Chief Acep stated that Reborn Indonesia is ready to support the steps taken by Kodam III/Siliwangi.
He outlined the various social actions the community has carried out so far, ranging from the installation of street lighting to humanitarian activities in a number of areas such as Kuningan, Kersaratu, and Pangandaran.
According to him, the spirit of riding must go hand in hand with care for the community. For this reason, Reborn Indonesia welcomes the Commander’s invitation to strengthen collaboration in helping residents in need.
This collaboration will also form part of the series of events at the Reborn Indonesia (RE) Jamboree II, scheduled to take place on 11–12 September 2026 at Laswi Heritage in Bandung City.
In addition to being a gathering event for members, the occasion will be enlivened by a Wingday Ride passing through Bandung City, Bandung Regency, Sumedang, and Subang.
The Commander of Kodam III/Siliwangi, Major General TNI Kosasih, is scheduled to personally flag off the Wingday Ride participants on 11 September 2026. The following day, the Commander is also scheduled to attend the Bandung Conducive Declaration together with around 300 motorcycle communities from across West Java at the Laswi Heritage area.
Through this synergy, Reborn Indonesia and Kodam III/Siliwangi hope the motorcycle community can become a strategic partner of the government and the TNI in maintaining public order, strengthening social care, and delivering tangible benefits to the people of West Java.
