Siliwangi Military Commander Enlists Motorcycle Community Reborn Indonesia to Help Develop West Java
A motorcycle community is not only synonymous with touring and riding hobbies. Reborn Indonesia is one such group being encouraged to become a social force that helps develop West Java. This spirit emerged during a casual meeting between Pangdam III/Siliwangi, Major General TNI Kosasih, and the management board of Reborn Indonesia, led by Chief Acep. The warm atmosphere gave rise to a joint commitment to strengthen synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the motorcycle community in helping to resolve various public issues. During the meeting, Major General TNI Kosasih, known by the nickname ‘The Santri General’, invited Reborn Indonesia to act as eyes and ears on the ground. He asked every community member not to hesitate to report information if they find damaged bridges, residents experiencing clean water difficulties, or various other social problems requiring swift attention. The Military Commander stressed that every incoming report would be followed up according to the capabilities and authority of Kodam III/Siliwangi. He also stated his commitment to assisting with the construction or renovation of places of worship. ‘Giving much charity will open the door to sustenance and become a path to safety from various dangers,’ he said. Responding to this invitation, Chief Acep stated that Reborn Indonesia is ready to support the steps of Kodam III/Siliwangi. He outlined various social actions the community has carried out so far, ranging from installing street lighting to humanitarian activities in a number of areas such as Kuningan, Kersaratu, and Pangandaran. According to him, the spirit of riding must go hand in hand with concern for the community. Therefore, Reborn Indonesia welcomed the Military Commander’s invitation to strengthen collaboration in helping residents in need. The collaboration will also be part of the Reborn Indonesia Jamboree II scheduled for 11–12 September 2026 at Laswi Heritage, Bandung City. Besides serving as a gathering event for members, the activity will be enlivened by a Wingday Ride traversing Bandung City, Bandung Regency, Sumedang, and Subang. Major General TNI Kosasih is scheduled to flag off the Wingday Ride participants on 11 September 2026. The following day, the Military Commander is also scheduled to attend the Declaration for a Conducive Bandung together with around 300 motorcycle communities throughout West Java at the Laswi Heritage area. Through this synergy, Reborn Indonesia and Kodam III/Siliwangi hope that motorcycle communities can become strategic partners for the government and the TNI in maintaining public order, strengthening social awareness, and delivering tangible benefits to the people of West Java.
