PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is strengthening the reliability of its factories and distribution network to restore and maintain the smooth supply of cement for the people of Aceh and to support development in the region. This move comes in response to increasing demand and supply pressures for cement in the area.

SIG Operations Director Reni Wulandari conducted a direct review of operational readiness at PT Solusi Bangun Andalas in Lhoknga and Lhokseumawe, as well as the PT Semen Padang packing plant in Malahayati. She was accompanied by PT Solusi Bangun Andalas Director Edi Sarwono and PT Semen Padang Operations Director Andria Delfa.

Reni stated that the increase in cement demand in Aceh must be met by strengthening synergy across SIG’s entire operational and distribution network so that supply can flow smoothly again and the needs of the community and development stakeholders can be fulfilled.

“In addition to optimising production and distribution facilities in the Aceh region, SIG is also strengthening coordination with distributors and logistics partners to ensure distribution proceeds in an orderly and efficient manner. The company also routinely monitors stock availability and distribution activities, and conducts daily evaluations as a basis for decision-making,” Reni said, as quoted from her statement on Tuesday, 11 August 2026.

SIG’s commitment to supporting development in Aceh was also demonstrated through the company’s policy towards areas affected by flooding at the end of 2025, namely Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. SIG continues to make maximum efforts to maintain product availability at various sales points, even though the company is currently under pressure regarding fuel availability and prices.

“As a state-owned enterprise, we have a responsibility to contribute to supporting the government’s development agenda and meeting the development needs of the community. We do this by ensuring reliable operations and quality cement supply from all SIG Group operational facilities,” concluded Reni.
