SIG's Rumah BUMN Records Rp6.9 Billion in Transactions, Strengthens MSME Competitiveness
The Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang programme in Central Java, managed by PT Semen Gresik, a subsidiary of the state-owned PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), has recorded cumulative transactions reaching Rp6.9 billion and absorbed more than 2,100 local workers in an effort to strengthen the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). SIG Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni stated that MSME development is part of the company’s sustainability strategy in creating shared value for the community and the environment surrounding the company’s operational areas. “MSMEs play a crucial role as drivers of the regional economy and job creators. Therefore, SIG continues to deliver adaptive and sustainable empowerment programmes so that MSMEs can grow more competitively, possess stronger competitiveness, and deliver a broader economic impact for the community,” Vita said in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday. One of the fostered MSMEs experiencing the impact of the programme is Bella Ayu Paramitha, owner of Batik Sekar Mulyo from Rembang. Thanks to the mentoring provided by RB Rembang, her business has now grown with a turnover reaching approximately Rp100 million per month and is able to employ dozens of workers and hundreds of freelancers from various villages in Rembang Regency. As a village-based business incubator, RB Rembang provides comprehensive mentoring to 580 developing MSMEs through training in product quality improvement, standardisation, business digitalisation, brand strengthening, and marketing strategies. Up to 2025, a total of 203 training programmes have been held to enhance competitiveness and expand market access for MSMEs. The mentoring is carried out comprehensively to help MSMEs address market challenges while opening up opportunities for penetration into wider markets. This achievement reinforces the role of SIG’s Rumah BUMN as a village-based business incubator that not only strengthens the business capacity of MSMEs but also drives inclusive and sustainable local economic growth. SIG emphasised that Rumah BUMN Rembang functions not only as a training centre but also as a business ecosystem that integrates business coaching, collaboration networks, and digital-based marketing access. Going forward, SIG will continue to develop Rumah BUMN Rembang as a business ecosystem integrating business coaching, collaboration, and digital marketing, while expanding market access for fostered MSME products to the national and global levels.
