Signature Petrol Stations Not Selling Pertalite Fuel, Here's Pertamina's Explanation

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Several Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in the Jakarta and surrounding areas are known to no longer sell subsidised fuel of the RON 90 type, or Pertalite. It is known that the SPBU not selling subsidised fuel are Signature SPBU.

This has indeed sparked public questions, especially after information circulated on social media that one SPBU in the Antasari area has officially stopped selling Pertalite since 1 May 2026.

In response to this, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Corporate Secretary, Roberth M.V. Dumatubun, explained that the change is not due to a halt in distribution, but rather a change in the SPBU’s status itself.

According to him, the SPBU that no longer sell Pertalite have switched to becoming Signature SPBU, a category of SPBU with premium services and facilities.

“Signature SPBU prioritises premium services and facilities above regular SPBU that still sell subsidised fuels. An example of an existing Signature SPBU is Signature SPBU Pondok Indah,” Roberth explained in a written statement received by CNBC on Thursday (7/6/2026).

“The public using Pertalite need not worry, as Pertalite product availability services will continue to be provided at other SPBU. Pertamina remains committed to serving Pertalite for the public as a Government Assignment (PSO),” Roberth emphasised.
