Xiaomi is expected to release an affordable flagship version of its 17T series to the global market sooner than previously anticipated. According to reports, two models will be announced: the standard Xiaomi 17T and the Xiaomi 17T Pro.

Following their global debut, Xiaomi appears set to bring both successors to the Xiaomi 15T series directly to the Indonesian market. The evidence is clear: two latest Xiaomi devices have already been registered in the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) database of the Ministry of Industry.

The two phones carry model numbers 2602DPT53G and 2602EPTC0G. Both passed TKDN registration with respective values of 38.2 percent and 37.54 percent. When traced online, 2602DPT53G corresponds to the standard Xiaomi 17T, whilst 2602EPTC0G is believed to be the model number for the Xiaomi 17T Pro.

If accurate, the presence in the TKDN registry signals a strong indication that the Xiaomi 17T series will soon arrive in the Indonesian market. TKDN registration is traditionally one of the important requirements before a smartphone can be officially sold in the country.

The Xiaomi T series line has historically been introduced globally in September each year. The Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, for instance, launched on 23 September last year, before being released in Indonesia on 30 September 2025.

However, the latest rumours suggest Xiaomi plans to release the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro approximately four months earlier, around May 2026. If this report proves accurate, the Xiaomi 17T series will likely also arrive in the country sooner.

There are reports of significant improvements in the battery sector. The Xiaomi 17T is rumoured to feature a 6,500 mAh battery, up from 5,500 mAh in the Xiaomi 15T. Its charging capacity is said to remain at 67W.
