Sign Language Opens Space for Equality for the Deaf in Palu

The Regional Leadership of the Movement for the Welfare of the Indonesian Deaf (DPD Gerkatin) in Central Sulawesi held a sign language and Deaf culture campaign in Palu City as an effort to create spaces for equality and expand communication access for deaf individuals in Palu, on Saturday (26/9).

The Chairman of DPD Gerkatin Central Sulawesi, Oknasarit, stated that the campaign aims to demonstrate that sign language is not merely a communication tool for the deaf, but a fundamental right to access information and communicate on an equal footing.
