Sigi, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA) - The Regent of Sigi Regency, Moh Rizal Intjenae, has instructed all village heads and sub-district chiefs to immediately collect data on residential damage in their respective areas following the earthquake in the region.

“We are setting a deadline for data from all village heads in Sigi Regency and all sub-district chiefs; it must be submitted to the Disaster Management Operations Control Centre (Pusdalops PB) by 2:00 p.m. Central Indonesia Time today,” said Regent Rizal when contacted in Sigi on Sunday.

He explained that the data collection is being conducted at the Pusdalops PB office in Maku Village, Dolo Sub-district.

“We will close the data today regarding the impact of damage caused by the earthquake in Sigi Regency,” he stated.

“All village heads must be proactive down to the grassroots level, and of course, the community must also actively report to the village if they have not yet received assistance, because the aid is structured from the government,” he added.

According to him, the government aid distribution mechanism is carried out in stages to ensure it reaches the community accurately and on target.

Based on data from the Sigi Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the number of houses damaged by the earthquake disaster in the area has reached 2,335 units, comprising 1,955 lightly damaged houses, 226 moderately damaged houses, and 154 heavily damaged houses.

Meanwhile, the total number of victims and affected individuals has increased to 8,586 people from 2,775 families in the Sigi Regency earthquake disaster, with details of 17 seriously injured victims, 108 lightly injured victims, and three fatalities.
