Sight of Debris from Fire in Densely Populated Kemayoran Settlement

The fire was successfully extinguished approximately seven hours after it broke out in the densely populated settlement on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, Kebon Kosong, Central Jakarta, on Monday (1/6) night. A total of 35 fire engines and 175 personnel were deployed to combat the blaze. Three individuals injured during the incident have received medical treatment at Hermina Kemayoran Hospital and RSCM. The Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency noted that 620 people from 330 households lost their homes due to the fire. The blaze, which razed hundreds of semi-permanent structures, is suspected to have been triggered by an electrical short circuit.
