PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has won three Indonesia HR Excellence 2026 awards, reflecting its transformation of human resource management to support innovation, digitalisation, and improved company performance. “SIG’s commitment to building superior, adaptive, and performance-oriented human resources has again received national recognition,” said SIG Human Capital Director Hadi Setiadi in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday. At the Indonesia HR Excellence 2026 event, SIG secured three awards with the highest ‘Excellent’ predicate for the categories of Learning & Development, HR Digitalisation & People Analytics, and Wellbeing Management. The awards were presented by Indonesia HR Excellence 2026 jury member Priyantono Rudito to Hadi Setiadi during the Indonesia HR Excellence Conference and Awarding 2026, organised by SWA Media Group in collaboration with the Management Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LM FEB UI) in Jakarta. Indonesia HR Excellence recognises human resource management performance across industries, assessed by professionals and academics based on parameters including innovation, alignment with business strategy, and tangible impact on company performance. Hadi said that amid increasingly complex industry dynamics, the quality of human capital is a decisive factor in corporate competitiveness. Therefore, the company positions human capital development as an integral part of its business strategy to ensure adaptation, innovation, and sustainable growth. The state-owned building materials solutions provider views human capital not merely as a support function, but as an enabler of corporate performance growth. “Through our Human Capital Architecture, we focus on accelerating the mastery of critical capabilities that support operational excellence, digital and commercial agility, and cost transformation,” he said. He added that the awards motivate the company to continue delivering HR management practices that add value to the business. SIG’s HR management transformation is reinforced by the development of a Strategic Human Capital Information System (HCIS) Framework and People Analytics, which integrate human capital strategy with data-driven decision-making. The system is supported by a People Analytics platform and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, enabling faster, more accurate, and business-relevant decisions. As part of this transformation, SIG launched the digital platform Elevate in early 2026. Developed entirely in-house, the platform manages the full employee performance and development cycle, from setting KPIs and monitoring achievements to performance evaluation and talent learning and development planning. Digitalisation of HR management is further strengthened by a dashboard that allows the company to monitor, analyse, identify, and improve cost effectiveness and efficiency, as well as generate more targeted policy recommendations. In talent development, SIG applies an approach that ensures all learning and development programmes directly support the mastery of critical competencies required by the business. Beyond competency development, SIG continues to strengthen its culture of innovation through various programmes and competitions that encourage creative solutions with tangible performance impact. These efforts successfully increased the number of innovations by 23 percent to 1,243 in 2025, with employee participation reaching 9,376 people, a 3 percent increase from the previous year. “We believe that a healthy, safe, and comfortable work environment is the foundation for productivity, engagement, and sustainable performance. Therefore, SIG continues to strengthen human capital capabilities and productivity as the main driver of company growth,” Hadi said.
