PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (IDX: SMGR), known as SIG, has received the Best Responsibility of the Board award from the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) in recognition of its commitment to implementing good corporate governance (GCG).

The award was presented at the 17th IICD Corporate Governance Conference and Award 2026, held at the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s Main Hall in Jakarta on 12 October 2026. Under the theme “Strengthening Market Confidence through Governance Excellence”, IICD Trustee Board member Andi Ilham Said presented the award to Achmad Choiri, SIG’s General Manager of Corporate Legal and Compliance.

The recognition reflects SIG’s consistent use of GCG as a foundation for maintaining sustainable corporate performance.

In a written statement on Wednesday (27 October 2026), SIG Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni said GCG is integrated into all the company’s operational activities and business processes.

SIG applies the five main GCG principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence and fairness to strengthen governance and create added value for stakeholders.

To support business sustainability, SIG established a Sustainability Committee to monitor implementation of its sustainability agenda and help achieve the targets in the SIG Sustainability Roadmap 2030.

SIG also assesses the quality of its governance against the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations and other relevant provisions.

In 2025, SIG achieved a GCG score of 102.67, earning a rating of Leadership in Corporate Governance.

GCG implementation has also helped strengthen SIG’s business resilience amid industry challenges. In the first half of 2026, the company recorded total sales volume of 18.28 million tonnes, up 5.6% from the same period a year earlier.

Revenue rose 13.1% to Rp17.65 trillion, while profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent entity increased 471% to Rp228 billion.

Mahreyni added that good governance is not intended solely to meet regulatory requirements, but also to support business growth and create a favourable investment climate in Indonesia.

In addition to the IICD award, SIG also received the Governance award in the 2026 Katadata ESG Insight (KESGI) Awards.

These achievements underscore SIG’s commitment to strengthening GCG to support sustainable performance and deliver benefits to all stakeholders.
