PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) distributed 292 sacrificial animals comprising 186 cows and 106 goats during Idul Adha 1447 H. The animals were purchased from local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The distribution took place gradually from 19 May 2026 to 26 May 2026 through mosques, foundations, Islamic boarding schools, and local communities around the company’s operational areas. SIG’s sacrificial animal distribution spanned 19 provinces from Aceh to Papua.

SIG Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni stated that Idul Adha serves as an opportunity to strengthen compassion and sharing values, particularly for communities near the company’s operational areas. Through the distribution, SIG aims to deliver direct benefits to the public while fostering harmony with stakeholders.

‘As part of supporting the local economy, SIG purchases sacrificial animals from SMEs in each operational region and ensures all animals undergo health checks to guarantee safety and suitability for consumption. Our hope is that SIG’s presence contributes not only to development but also brings tangible benefits to communities and the surrounding environment,’ Mahreyni said in a statement on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Village Head of Pasucen in Gunem District, Rembang Regency, Central Java, Salamun, expressed gratitude for the annual Idul Adha sacrificial animal assistance distributed to residents. He noted SIG’s positive impact on the village’s welfare.

‘Beyond Idul Adha, SIG has provided numerous programmes for our community, including the Civil Society Forum (FMM) for village autonomy, SME mentoring, and operational support for the village. Alhamdulillah, SIG consistently cares for our people; may SIG continue to benefit the wider public,’ Salamun added.
