Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) recorded a net profit of Rp46 billion, representing 380 percent growth compared to the same period last year, which stood at Rp10 billion. “The improvement is already visible. The key now is to continue overseeing the ongoing transformation steps so that the company’s performance becomes even stronger going forward,” said Dony Oskaria, Head of BPKP SOEs and COO of Danantara, in a statement confirmed by ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday. Dony stated that Danantara continues to push for stronger performance and competitiveness among state-owned enterprises through business transformation. These efforts are beginning to show positive results at PT SIG, which recorded a significant performance improvement throughout 2026. Cumulatively up to May 2026 (year-to-date), SIG posted a net profit of Rp152 billion, after recording a loss in the same period the previous year. This achievement reflects the success of various transformation measures and the strengthening of the company’s business fundamentals. In line with this progress, on 18 June 2026, Dony held a meeting with SIG President Director Indrieffouny Indra to discuss the company’s performance development and various strategic initiatives being undertaken to strengthen SIG’s position in the national building materials industry. The meeting covered the development of the business model transformation that has been underway since July 2025, including efforts to improve operational efficiency, optimise business processes, strengthen company fundamentals, and strategic steps to enhance profitability and competitiveness amid increasingly competitive industry dynamics. The performance improvement achieved demonstrates that the company’s transformation is beginning to have a tangible impact on its financial and operational health. Beyond strengthening profitability, these measures are also expected to enhance business resilience and create added value for the company and its stakeholders. BPKP SOEs and Danantara will continue to oversee the transformation agenda across state-owned enterprises to ensure each company is able to improve performance, strengthen competitiveness, and make an optimal contribution to national economic growth. SIG’s achievement serves as an example of successful transformation implementation that has driven fundamental improvements and produced healthier performance.
