Jakarta, VIVA – PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) or SIG booked a net profit of Rp190.84 billion in 2025. This achievement represents a 73.48% year-on-year (yoy) decline compared to Rp719.76 billion in the same period the previous year.

The net profit was supported by the company’s revenue of Rp35.24 trillion in 2025, a slight decrease from Rp36.18 trillion in the corresponding period the prior year.

“Through several strategic initiatives, SIG has managed to maintain profitability, demonstrating the company’s resilience in facing the still sluggish domestic cement market conditions,” said SMGR Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 1 April 2026.

Meanwhile, the cost of goods sold decreased slightly to Rp28.17 trillion at the end of 2025, compared to Rp28.25 trillion in the same period the previous year.

“From a cost perspective, strict efficiency and continuous improvement in operational excellence have helped the company reduce the cost of goods sold by 0.3% (yoy) and operating expenses (excluding other operating expenses) by 1.1% (yoy),” Vita stated.

She assured that the company has consistently implemented business transformation since July 2025, focusing on three main strategies: enhancing micro-market management, cost efficiency, and optimisation of cement derivative products and portfolio.

“These transformation strategies have shown positive results, where in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, SIG’s domestic sales showed improvement, contributing to total sales throughout 2025,” she said.

She continued that the company will continue to maximise regional market potential to maintain positive performance amid the still challenging domestic cement market conditions.

For information, the company recorded regional sales of 7.95 million tonnes in 2025, a 14.3% (yoy) growth compared to 6.96 million tonnes in the same period the previous year.

Furthermore, she is optimistic that the company can continue to sustain growth momentum through several strategic initiatives and innovations, one of which is the development project for a dock and production facilities for cement exports in Tuban, East Java, which is part of a strategic partnership with Taiheiyo Cement Corporation.

“SIG targets to start exports in mid-2026 from the facility in Tuban, East Java, with a capacity of 500,000 to 1 million tonnes of cement per year,” Vita revealed.
